Panel 1, Caption: TFW your name is Theodore Roosevelt and it's Oct. 14, 1912. TR says "Friends, I shall ask you to be as quiet as possible. I don't know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot—." Panel 2, TR stands defiantly, holding his suit jacket open, revealing a red pool of blood on his chest "—but it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose."
Panel 3, TR holds up the folded up 50-page script with a bullet hole in it "But fortunately I had my manuscript, so you see I was going to make a long speech— and there is a bullet—there is where the bullet went through —and it probably saved me from it going into my heart.
Panel 4, TR starts to look a little shaky, "The bullet is in me now, so that I cannot make a very long speech, but I will try my best." Caption: "And he finished that speech!"
